How to Create a "For Sale" Listing

We’re excited to help you share your listing on Lancaster Puppies - whether you’re advertising puppies, an older dog, or a stud.

Follow these simple steps to get your listing live and connect with the perfect buyers!

Creating a "For Sale" Listing

To create a listing for sale, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Lancaster Puppies account
  2. Click on the "+ New Ad" button on the top right corner of the homepage.

  3. If this is your first listing, you will be asked to verify your number via text message. You are required to fill in a valid US phone number for your listing - this is one of the ways we verify our users and keep Lancaster Puppies safe.

  4. You will only need to verify your phone number once, and then you will be able to continue to the next step where you will select the type of listing you want to create:
    • For sale - Pets advertised for sale by individuals and breeders
    • For stud - Listings for stud services.
Please see this article instead if you would like to post a listing For Stud.

Check the "For Sale" option and then click "Next Step"

5. The first step is to upload media. Here you can choose images that will appear on all listings in the litter. These can be any additional images you, such as group images of the litter, or pictures of the parents. Individual puppy photos will be added in a later step on each puppy's listing.

Please note that a single video or image cannot exceed 100 MB in size. Additionally, a maximum of 40 photos and 5 videos can be uploaded to your advert in total.

6. Then select the breed of the parents. Please note a relevant mixed breed will be automatically generated based on the parents, for example a Golden Retriever x Miniature Poodle will automatically make the litter "Mini Goldendoodle" and update the generation for you

7. Add general information about your listing, such as:

  • Number of puppies in the litter (include how many males and how many females). You can edit this until the puppies are 3 weeks old if adjustments are needed.

  • Date of Birth.

  • Ready-to-leave date - must be at least 8 weeks after the date of birth.

Fill in all the relevant details, then click Next Step to continue.

8. Choose any additional details for the litter, such as microchip, vaccination, health testing and registration details - these details should be accurate on the date of collection for the new owners.
Check the appropriate options and then click "Next Step"

9. Add in any other shared information for the litter - this will be shown for the whole litter. You can update the title of the listing, add a description and set the price per puppy.
In this step, you can also select if you require a deposit and how you would like to be contacted.

10. Next you will be able to add in your information about each puppy
You can do this by clicking on each listing, this will open up that listing and allow you to make the appropriate edits:

11. In the edit screen you can:

  • Change the name (it will be filled in automatically by default with the breed and a number).

  • Add a detailed description for this specific puppy.

  • Change the gender (it will be filled in for you based on the number of each gender you selected earlier).

  • Update the price (it will be filled in automatically based on the litter or listing price, but can be edited individually).

  • Add images and videos for this specific puppy.

12. Click submit when you have filled in all the details, and complete for each puppy.
You can also add in more puppies here by clicking on "Add Puppy +" or remove a listing by clicking on the little trashcan icon next to any listing.

13.  When you’re ready, click Summary to check that all your details are correct.
If you need to make changes, you can easily update:

  • Media Gallery – add more images or videos for the entire litter or listing.

  • Pets in Litter – edit or update any individual animals in the listing.

  • Litter Info – update breed, generation, date of birth, ready-to-leave date, listing title, or price.

  • Documentation & Health – edit any options you’ve selected here.

You can also double-check the Ad Details, including:

  • Ad Type

  • Contact Details

When you’re happy with everything, click Submit to complete the process.

Things to Note About the Ad Approval Process
If your listing meets our Terms & Conditions and Advertising Policy, and no issues are found, it’s usually published within minutes of
submission. If anything requires further review, it may take longer.

To ensure adverts are genuine and contain all required information, our Trust & Safety team manually reviews any listings that are flagged during the approval process.

While your advert is under review, its status will show as Pending, and we’ll contact you by email if any changes are needed before it can be published.
