Follow these simple steps to get your listing live and connect with the perfect buyers!
Creating a "For Sale" Listing
To create a listing for sale, please follow the instructions below:
- Log in to your Lancaster Puppies account.
- Click on the + New Ad button on the top right corner of the homepage.
- If this is your first listing, you will be asked to verify your number via text message. You are required to enter a valid US phone number – this helps us verify users and keep Lancaster Puppies safe.
- You will only need to verify your phone number once. After this, you can select the type of listing you want to create:
- For Sale – Pets advertised for sale by individuals and breeders.
- For Stud – Listings for stud services.

- Check the For Sale option and then click Next Step.
- The first step is to upload media. Here you can choose images that will appear on all listings in the litter. These can include group images of the litter or pictures of the parents. Individual puppy photos will be added later on each puppy’s listing.
Please note: A single image or video cannot exceed 100 MB. A maximum of 40 photos and 5 videos can be uploaded per advert.
- Select the breed of the parents. The system will automatically generate a relevant mixed breed (e.g., Golden Retriever x Miniature Poodle = Mini Goldendoodle).
- Add general information about your listing, such as:
- Number of puppies (include males and females – can be edited until 3 weeks old).
- Date of Birth.
- Ready-to-leave date – must be at least 8 weeks after the date of birth.
- Choose additional details such as microchip, vaccination, health testing, and registration. These details should be accurate on the date of collection for the new owners.
- Add shared information for the litter – title, description, price per puppy, deposit details, and contact preferences.
- Next, add information for each puppy. Click on each listing to edit:
- Change the name (default is breed + number).
- Add a detailed description.
- Change the gender (pre-filled from earlier selection).
- Update the price (default from litter, but editable).
- Add images and videos for that specific puppy.
- Click Submit once all details are complete. You can add more puppies with Add Puppy + or remove using the trashcan icon.
- When ready, click Summary to review details. You can update:
- Media Gallery – add more images/videos.
- Pets in Litter – edit any puppies.
- Litter Info – update breed, DOB, title, price.
- Documentation & Health – edit health options.
- Ad Details – check ad type and contact details.
- When you’re happy, click Submit to complete the process.
Things to Note About the Ad Approval Process
If your listing meets our Terms & Conditions and Advertising Policy and no issues are found, it’s usually published within minutes. If further review is required, it may take longer.
To ensure adverts are genuine and complete, our Trust & Safety team manually reviews any flagged listings. While under review, your advert will show as Pending, and we’ll contact you by email if changes are needed.
