PawCover for Sellers: How to get set up

PawCover is Lancaster Puppies’ secure payment option, designed to help you receive payments safely while giving buyers added peace of mind.

Once enabled, PawCover allows buyers to pay you through Lancaster Puppies using your unique seller PIN.

How do I enable PawCover?

To get started, you’ll need to complete a quick, one-time setup through our secure payment partner, Stripe.

  1. Log in to your Lancaster Puppies account
  2. Go to your Transactions page
  3. Add your bank details
  4. Complete the secure ID and account verification process

Once approved, your unique seller PIN will appear in your My Account section, and PawCover will be enabled across your account. You only need to complete this setup once.

How do buyers pay me?

Each seller has a unique payment PIN linked to their account.

  1. Speak with the buyer first
    We recommend confirming all details before sharing your PIN.
  2. Share your PIN
    Only share your PIN with buyers you feel comfortable working with.
  3. The buyer enters the PIN on your listing
    They’ll click the Reserve button on your advert and enter your PIN to begin checkout.
  4. The buyer completes payment securely
    Payment is processed through Stripe and recorded on your account.

When will I receive my payment?

  1. The buyer completes payment through Lancaster Puppies
  2. If a deposit has been selected this will be paid immediately
  3. The balance of the funds are held securely while pickup or delivery arrangements are made
  4. After the buyer confirms collection in their My Pets section, the payment is released to you

Once released, the transfer is sent to your bank. Most payments arrive within 24 hours, however depending on your bank, it may take a few business days for the funds to appear in your account.

Important: The buyer must confirm collection before payment can be released. If the buyer is unable to confirm pickup themselves, they can contact our team and we can assist in verifying the collection.

Should I accept payment from buyers I haven’t spoken to?

We strongly recommend speaking with every buyer first before sharing your PIN. This helps you confirm the details, answer questions, and make sure the home is a good fit before proceeding.

Do I need to do anything after payment?

Once payment is completed, simply proceed with the rehoming arrangements as agreed with the buyer.

After the pet has been collected, the buyer confirms pickup in their account, which allows the payment to be released to you.
